Students traveled to Thailand in April of 2006 to see first hand sacred sites and learn Thailand's Healing Arts. The group experienced the Songkran Water Festival festival and 200 hours of intensive eco-tour style diving deep into the culture. Students were able to train with indigenous and respected Thai Traditional Medicine schools and teachers.
Thai Yoga and Tribal Healers such as Aachan Phaa Khruu Anantasuk and Aachan Nantipa Anantasuk to gain greater understanding and depth of knowledge in their SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Practice. During this program Dr. James was awarded the Aachan and Professor status through the Wiangklaikangwan Industrial College and the Wat Po Teachers Association by Dr. Srinoi representing the college. Students were not only to train with Dr. J personally, they were able to meet Dr. J's teachers and gain valuable first hand instruction for credit.
The group traveled and trainined in Hua Hin at the Wiangklaikangwan Industrial College, The Anantasuk School of Thai Traditional Medicine and Thai Massage, The Sawankhalok School for the Blind in Chiang Rai, Lamphang, Lamphun, Chiangmai, Golden Triangle (Mae Sai) and Bangkok.
All Thai Teacher's were Union of Thai Traditional Medicine Society(UTTS) Licensed teachers and professors, several of whom operate their own Ministry authorized TTM training centers.
